History
Behind Santa Barbara is me, Barbara . One of my grandmothers was a seamstress and the other did embroidery. I loved it when, as a child, they let me touch the threads and fabrics, teach me to sew, and even let me use the sewing machine.
When I grew up, I chose a career that allowed me to create, and I graduated in architecture. I worked for many years in interior design, but I never forgot my passion for fabrics, colors, textures, and fashion .
When my first daughter was born, I decided to open the treasure chest of memories and take out something that was stored there: the desire to sew, the love for this world of crafts that my grandmothers had passed on to me.
It was the perfect opportunity
I started dressing my baby in my own creations. The same thing happened with the arrival of my second daughter; I continued making outfits for them in my own style—fun and comfortable. This was quite some time ago… In 2018, I decided this could be something bigger, and Santa Barbara was born with an Instagram account and a website. Little by little, it grew. In 2022, I opened my first physical store in Sitges (Barcelona).
Philosophy
At Santa Barbara, we strive for sustainable production. We use organic, high-quality cotton from local suppliers, as well as our own printing methods. The garments are made in local workshops, supporting small businesses. In this way, we aim to create a locally sourced product.
We don't use plastic; our packaging is made with recycled cardboard and paper. We are committed to environmental protection and are always looking for ways to help safeguard it. Each shipment includes a seed tag to encourage our customers to plant, nurture, and preserve nature. We promote recycling; all our fabric scraps that are no longer sufficient for our clothing are shared with other brands that use them to create products like rattles, booties, and other accessories.
We love the idea that receiving a Santa Barbara order is an experience , a surprise when you open the package: the original wrapping, the scent, the care taken, a card, and a message. Everything in keeping with the product you're about to receive: beautiful, elegant, carefully crafted, and made with love.

We don't have a single, defined style; we like both minimalist and modern looks as well as something with a classic touch. Timeless and simple, yet elegant.
We love cheerful, fun, colorful prints on casual clothes, but also a soft color palette for slightly more elaborate garments, but never boring ones!
